This is my first book by this author, I really do have a bad habit for not reading the previous books in the series when I see it can be read as a standalone - don’t get me wrong that was true with this book too but you also know that the previous couple are now together so they are obviously all going to be interconnected. (This one is the second in the series)

Fake Dating Adrien Hunter was an entertaining read :) Skyla Summers added an interesting little twist to the conventional fake dating trope. I'll quote a passage of the book that sums it up pretty well "There’s some serious next-level scheming and double-crossing going down". Fake dating was beloved of teen movies during the genre’s golden age in the late ’90s — think Drive Me Crazy, She’s All That, and 10 Things I Hate About You — but since the death of the romantic comedy, it’s mostly become a marker for parody. In this decade, when a TV show has done an episode satirizing rom-com tropes, the way Community or Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 did over the course of their runs, those episodes have usually involved signposting a fake relationship. (“Wanna pretend you’re just going out with me on a bet?” asked Abed’s manic pixie dream girl love interest.)I feel like it was written in such a rush because the explanation for them “hating” each other when they were young was shit and the miscommunication was so unrealistic and was kind of just skipped over like an afterthought. If you can stomach a plot that could easily have been avoided with communication skills, you’ll find a pleasant steamy enemies to lovers story inside. Well I’m saying it anyway. I love the characters in this book, Zac is such an ideal boyfriend like where can I find him, like I need him in my life seriously❤️‍🔥. Mina is such a bubbly character. I love her character too, these couple compliment each other so well. They found the love they need and deserve in each other💝. The writer did so great in this book, I love her writing style, it is such a easy read. I applaud skyla summers as this is only her second book out and she did such a good job in this book and in her first book👏💘. The chemistry between characters was there, this is such a fun, light, flirty romance book. I would totally recommend it🫶.

We often only know a few months out what our advertising revenue will be, which makes it hard to plan ahead.Verena and Adrian were enjoyable. I actually have no complaints about Adrian, which honestly is rare with MMCs. As a viewer, you are constantly pulled between sighing over the sweetness of their dynamic and longing for it to finally become “real.” It’s a state of delighted tenterhooks. This movie lets its stars be true partners in crime Overall rate it 4.555/5✨💫 if you are into fake dating trope, celebrity fake dating, grumpyxsunshine. It’s a dual pov so it’s a plus for me so definitely recommend this book🫶 I don’t really have anything bad to say about it other than maybe that it was kinda sped up at the end 🏃‍♀️

And I'm definitely not hating on the book for no reason, I'm just giving a honest review and I honestly feel bad cause I sounded mean the whole time.Jake - A but farfetched for Verena's ex-boyfriend to be at this wedding. He just happens to he dating a friend of her future SIL that lives in Alaska when he lives in NY? I don't buy it. In contrast, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has both Lara Jean and Peter enter their fake relationship with their eyes open. They sign a contract in which they make their expectations toward one another clear, and they make honesty and transparency a requirement of the contract. The book was a little too fast paced for my liking but that was expected after the last book. Overall the book was cute and had good spice scenes. I don't know, maybe it's me but maybe this book just needs more changing but I just didn't like the book.
