Video (XAVC HS): 7680 x 4320 (4:2:0, 10bit, NTSC) (Approx.): 30p(400Mbps / 200 Mbps), 24p(400Mbps / 200 Mbps), 7680 x 4320 (4:2:0, 10bit, PAL) (Approx.): 25p(400Mbps / 200 Mbps) For our lab data comparison, we compared thea7R V to its main rivals from Canon, the EOS R5, along with a medium-format camera in the same price range: the Fujifilm GFX 50S II. We also re-tested the a7R IV alongside the a7R V to see how different the new generation Sony is from its predecessor in terms of image quality. Memory Card File Rescue for macOS is newly released. Even if it remains solely Nikon professional cameras and Sony video using XQD, that still means that the format will survive and flourish. With CFexpress using the same form as XQD, that should also mean there will soon be many more brands and cameras using the format in one specification or the other. Nikon Models Using XQD But there are also many photographers for whom it’s not a major issue. Time will tell if Nikon’s faith in XQD and CFexpress cards is well-founded.

Furthermore, there’s a greater range of CFExpress Type B cards spanning multiple budgets. Therefore, if you are concerned with price, CFExpress Type B is a better choice. Compatibility

The Canon EOS R5 boasts dual memory card slots, one which for CFexpress cards and the other compatible with SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-II media. Like the Z6, there will be some photographers who will be unwilling to forgive the single memory card slot. Wedding photographers may especially nervous. Sony still hasn’t opted for a top-mounted status LCD, even though it looks like there would be room for one if the mode dial was swapped over to the left side. But one of the characteristics of Sony’s cameras is that while the internal technologies are updated with each new version, the exteriors remain largely frozen in time. Of course, this comparison may be academic. If you have already bought a Sony A1, you’ll use CFExpress Type A cards by default. But, if you get to choose, CFExpress Type B is better by most measures. Although the Z6 and Z7 were Nikon’s first full-frame mirrorless cameras, and many might argue the company’s first serious mirrorless cameras, they avoided that ‘first generation’ feel. They are both excellent cameras.
