I don't smell almost any heavy alcoholic smell from Soft, it's very well blended with a nice citrusy smell even for the first seconds after spraying. What I assume most people refer to as the burnt note actually comes off as a full-on rotten, gone-off note on me. I sprayed a single spray on myself in another room, and my partner walked and said that something smelled absolutely delicious, like someone baking. It opens with intense (mostly)sweet-(vaguely)citrusy notes that swiftly make way for the most authentic cotton candy scent and licorice - the burnt thing that some people smell. If you're (cool) old enough to remember Katy Perry's music video for "California Gurls", this is what it smells like, and it even comes in a candy cane inspired package!

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Pink Sugar line, possibly due to the fact that it reminds me of my youth. I'm not a floral gal and the regular PS notes just don't compensate for it enough for me to keep the bottle. Aquolina is a famous Italian brand that provides perfumes, body sprays, cream baths and body lotions which are all with incredible realistic aromas. the first few times i wore this the greener notes really threw me off, but since it dries down to a nice vanilla prominent scent i kept wearing it and i am so glad i did! I much prefer the dry down over the very seet opening, as time passes by and you get a whiff of the scent it’s much milder and not as sugary sweet, and I get much more of that brown sugar and fruity notes!

It’s one of the longest lasting fragrance not only on my clothes but also on my skin, which is quite rare to find. Its an incredibly harsh burnt black rubber thing in it that is super prodomimant on my skin which is very very off putting. It is sweet and fun and can be perfect for an everyday scent, on someone that doesn't have a stick in the mud. Whether you use it to pamper yourself or as a gift for a special person, this perfume will bring value and joy to your life. The only way for me to wear this is when the temperature is below zero, I spray it just before going out and would not have to smell myself again.

I'm not opposed to yellow florals in general but the way they're done here is more aromatherapy and less perfumery.

But once I let this sit and develop on my skin, it becomes much prettier and much better, in my opinion. Maybe if I had sprayed it on myself when I was already overheated and a touch sweaty, the warmth and salt could help balance out that weird chalk-sugar smell.I got it still sealed in plastic in it's original package, but the color of the juice is darker than what most of the photos online look like. I actually enjoy the licorice note - I love anise, and it was really nice to smell it so forward in a gourmand.
