It serves as a cautionary tale in the fragrance world, proving that longevity and projection aren't everything. The weaker fragrance(Eau de Toilette) is designed to last around 2 hours depending on the skin, as fragrances last different on everyone. Heard so much about this fragrance - the performance, the uniqueness of the smell, the polarisation etc. It will stain the clothes but if you are spraying on black clothes, it will last for 24 hours+ maybe even days. Unfortunately, they are shrouded in an artificiality that makes even its leather accord smell like plastic. This, and the aftershave balm version you can get in discounter gift sets - which itself is a classier, deeper, subtler take on the scent - both have the potential to attract attention from 30 plus members of the opposite sex, either because they have a positive scent memory of this fragrance, or because of its sweet, pheromonal aura. Tried it many times, thinking something is wrong with me or my nose but every single time it gave me chemical, toxic waste vibes.This shares many notes with Money Blanc Individuel and they have a very similar base however, joop homme is much sweeter from that honey and a much warmer fragrance too from the strong cinnamon, cardamom and tobacco. I'll start by saying I really like this, even though my description of how I perceive it may sound negative to some. The reason for this also has to do with the fact that this fragrance requires to be dressed up or makes use of a classy or sophisticated outfit.
